Your Guide and Hosts
Your guide, Dwayne has fished the waters of Central Alberta for the past 30 years. He is a fly fisherman and outdoors man; and spends the summers guiding on his home waters. A quote from one of our regular customers sums Dwayne up: Schafers is a psychiatric nurse who works with behaviorally challenged children: probably the best qualifications there are for a fishing guide. Dwayne has been fishing in Alberta for 30 years, and has been fishing the Red Deer extensively for the past 10 years. He bought his first drift boat in 2002, and on a recent float I took with him, he handled it as if he had been wearing it all his life!
Marcy
is our head cook and shuttle driver. She is also a neophyte fly
fisherman, landing her first brown on the fly during the summer of
2004, a respectable 23 inches.
Her shore lunches and desserts will
have you asking for seconds! Hospitality is what it is all about!
