Trips
Take
a trip with us in our comfortable, low profile, Hyde Drift boat.
The Red Deer River offers several sections to float, each section
having distinct character and scenery. Trips from 8-12 hours are
the norm; this is dependent on hatches, river and weather
conditions. You will have opportunities to hook into large brown
trout, mountain whitefish, and other warm water species. The many
hatches on this water such as caddis, stonefly, and mayflies offer
some of the best dry fly fishing in the province.
Price:
$450.00 /day CDN for one or two anglers.
Walk and Wade Trips
The
Ram River and North Ram Rivers are a fly fisherman's dream, a
couple hours drive west of Red Deer, these waters offer some of
the best Cutthroat trout in the province. The scenery and the
splendor of a day in the Rocky Mountains is a worthwhile addition
to your visit.
Price: $450.00 /day CDN for one or two
anglers.
The North Raven River (Locally known as Stauffer Creek) is
a must; your guide has fished these water for the past twenty
years. The Browns found here verge on paranoid. The water is slow
and clear with heavy weed growth, and underwater hazards. There
are sections where you will find deep pools with large trout
laying in wait. This is a fascinating stream that requires
patience, persistence and passion, as well as a hand full of flies
for the willows.
